I am a contemporary realism artist. When I create art, I feel like I’m in a space where I am understood and excepted just as I am. I’m doing what my heart and soul has always called me to do. I paint in layers using a variety of mixed media. This included charcoal, inks, spray paints, acrylics, glazes and occasionally collage, I always finish my paintings in oil. I love the depth and the richness in color it gives. I love experiencing the alchemy of paint layers and the potential energy of each line, drip and brush stroke. My creative process is influenced by techniques and skills I developed while in the Mastery program at Milan Art Institute.

While my work continues to evolve, one of my goals as an artist is to push my own boundaries with each new painting I create. The gratification from stepping back from my paintings and then being able to share it with others is immeasurable.

My inspiration almost always comes from the world around me. You will find an accumulation of my life experiences in my choice of subject matter. With that being said, I paint what I see and what it means to me. My desire is to share with you what I see, through my paintings and to give you the viewer a moment in that world. I’ve waited my whole life for this opportunity, I hope you enjoy my art.

I believe that there is a beauty in resilience and that it’s found somewhere between grit and grace. This is life as I see it and this is my art.
