I am a contemporary realism artist. When I create art, I feel like I’m in a space where I am understood and accepted just as I am. I’m doing what my heart and soul has always called me to do. I paint in layers using charcoal, inks, spray paints, acrylics glazes and occasionally collage, I always finish in oil, I love the depth and the richness in color it gives. While detail is very important to me, I enjoy experiencing the alchemy of paint layers. Also, the potential energy of each line, drip and brush stroke.

While my work continues to evolve, one of my goals as an artist is to push my own boundaries with each new painting I create.

My inspiration almost always comes from the world around me. You will find an accumulation of my life experiences in my choice of subject matter. With that being said, I paint what I see and what it means to me. My desire is to share with you what I see through my paintings. To give you, the viewer a moment in that world.

I believe that there is a beauty in resilience and that it’s found somewhere between grit and grace. This is life as I see it. I’ve waited my whole life for this opportunity and I hope you enjoy my art.
